The Home Concept

Next to Nature

There are two main entrances leading to the living area. One is formal, taking you through various parts of the home before arriving at the space situated at the back portion of the bungalow. The other is via a shady garden skirting the house, featuring trees and water features that contribute to the allure of the outdoors.

Strolling through the home's inner santuary, you will notice a blend of ethnic, floral and simple traditional design furniture dominating whatever space available. The characteristics of these pieces are accentuated by the accessories that make up the interiors, especially the modern fabrics that make the intricately-carved items stand out.

Earth tones were chosen for the interior as the ideal base to "best capture feeling that can only be translated by the emotions of the heart".

Floor levels were raised and helped various spaces look extra special and unique, with the most outstanding being the dining area. Huge windows in the dining area provide ample natural lighting and ventilation as well as an exquisite view of the fountain and carp pond located outside.

The outdoor trees and greenery shade the bedrooms from too much sunlight. Classic selection of antique and ethnic furniture in light tones were selected for these bedroom spaces. They were further enhanced by bedsheets incorporating beaded threadwork and shades of color shades to add allure.

The way the combination of high quality work, tradition, historical value and the outdoors all manage to harmonise to give anyone "the inspiration to work with greater productivity".

Doeloe Gallery's advice to home owners wanting to decorate their homes -

"Be clear about what you want to achieve. Should you be at loss for ideas or inspiration, don't hesitate to obtain help. There is no point in wasting money if the end result is disappointing".
